2008 Quilt Show

On March 15-16, 2008, the Southern Comforters will host their annual quilt show at the C. Elizabeth Rieg School.
Hours are Saturday, March 15, from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, March 16, from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Donation is $5.00, with proceeds going to worthy causes in the local community.

are available and parking is free.
A perennial favorite, this quilt show showcases the talents of local quilters. Attendees are invited to vote
for their favorites in six different categories:
- Large Appliqué
- Small Appliqué
- Large Pieced
- Small Pieced
- Group Quilt
- Miscellaneous

Featured Quilter
This year's featured quilter is Pam Budesheim. Pam, the guild's membership chairman, specializes in art quilts.
Pam will be available for the duration of the show
to answer questions about her quilts and methods. Take advantage of this rare treat to see Pam's collection.
Demonstrations
Each hour on the half hour on both Saturday and Sunday, guild members are offering free demonstrations of a variety of techniques and things of interest
to quilters and those who love quilts. On this year's schedule you'll find demonstrations of seminole piecing, quilted postcards, and much more.

Other Events
In addition to the raffle quilt and displays of guild-made quilts, the 2008 Quilt Show will feature a silent auction, door prizes, Keepsakes Korner,
various vendors, and ongoing kids activities (quilted postcards were the project last year). Refreshments will also be
available for purchase at the school.

Raffle Ticket Chair, Kathy Leavitt, has lots of tickets to share for guild members to offer to friends, family, and colleagues.
