Burgoyne Surround Swap

There will be 6 parts to this swap. You can participate in all of them or just a few. If you do all swaps and make the suggested number of pieces, in the end - you will have the parts to make 20 blocks. Add a few more bits and you can put together a quilt that measures approximately 60" x 75". If you want a bigger quilt, you can swap extra parts or make more and keep them … your choice. You will always get back the same number of pieces that you turn in for the swap.

Pre-wash, dry and iron your fabric.

Each square = 1" finished. Cut strips and squares 1 ½" unless otherwise noted.

Background fabrics: tans/beige
Other fabrics - think "Thimbleberries", country colors

No brights, whites, or novelties.

Please turn in your blocks pinned in groups of 10, with all your "groups" in a zip-loc bag with your name and number of "groups." EXAMPLE: the 1st swap will be 4-patch blocks and you will need 8 groups of 10 blocks for a total of 80 blocks.

Swaps are due by the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Reminders will be sent out prior to the date. We will not take IOU's. If you miss the date, you can join back in the following month.

Black, White and Zing Row Quilt

• A row should be 60.5 inches wide, and any height you choose.
• Predominantly Black, White with the Zing color/accent color used sparingly
• Use only 1 accent color in each row (can be uniformly spaced or accent sprinkled about)
• Piece or appliqued - any technique goes
• For each row you submit, you get a chance to win a set of rows. Some rows will be used for Bingo Prize Quilt(s). Turn in as many rows as you wish.

Accent Colors are colors that are used for emphasis in a color scheme. These colors can be bold or vivid and are used sparingly, to emphasize, contrast or create rhythm

Black, White with a little bit of Zing!!!

If you have any questions, Amy or Elfrieda would be glad to help.
