Welcome!

The Southern Comforters Quilt Guild of Bowie, Maryland was formed in 1982. The purpose of the guild is to promote the appreciation of the rich heritage of quilting through educational opportunites by presenting speakers, workshops and other activities related to quilt making. Many of our activities combine our love of quilting with community service. Quilts and quilting encourages expressions of individualism, creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm which are shared with others. We welcome guests as we provide a gathering place to promote fellowship with those who share a common interest. Take part in our guild and share our love of quilts and help to promote quilting for future generations. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Christian Community Presbyterian Church, 3120 Belair Drive in Bowie, Maryland. We start at 7:30 pm, doors open at 7:00 pm to socialize.
