Barbara Dahlberg, "Kiji in Paradise"
The main panel of this quilt is cut from a piece of a Kona Bay Emperor Collection fabric I bought from a vendor at our quilt show last year. I was inspired by the pheasants ("kiji" is Japanese for "pheasant") and the beautiful colors. It is machine pieced. The all-over quiliting pattern of chrysanthemums and cranes was done entirely with silk thread.
