Before I started quilting in the early 90's, I was heavily into free-motion machine embroidery. Last year I took a class from Ann Fahl at Asilomar in California on designing and machine-embellishing flower quilts. It brought back to me again that I really enjoy free-motion thread work. This quilt is a result of that class. The background is pieced, with the flowers and leaves machine quilted and embellished..
